the sound barrier






This New photo shows an Air Force F-22 Raptor BREAKING THE SOUND BARRIER. Here are a few photos






Scientists refer to this as the vapor cone; scientists think a layer of water droplets get trapped between two high pressure surfaces of air. In hot conditions condensation gathers in trough between two crests of sound waves produced by the jet.

  1. That is really cool. I had never even thought about moisture getting trapped inside the cone. That is some food for thought.
